Hi Craniac,

No, it's not a secret but rather just never discussed. There's a great sign heading on the cape that says "Mashpee Sandwich" (an exit for two cape towns) and I always thought that sounded like a terrible lunch item. It may have even been the original first name.

Unlike the Overbooster, humor in Screwtape images was never very explicit. These aren't all the flyers, just some of the better ones. Click on the thumbnails to view larger versions.

This was the original Anthemunanthem cover as released by Depression Records in 1993. It was made with xerography and ink.

Prior to Screwtape's live debut, these three flyers were put out in hopes of generating interest. They were red ink on red paper.

This was a fun show. Thought Industry, Twitch, Black Spring and Screwtape.
